In Training is a short film, which is currently doing its festival run. It was written and directed by Lachlan Kelly, who brought me onboard as the cinematographer. We were faced with many challenges in the production from the lack of budget and gear, but used our creative talents to make it happen, we couldn't have completed the shoot without our amazing talent and crew.
The film is about: Two former friends, Malcolm and Seamus, reunite after years apart and traveling down separate roads. Uncertain of what their meeting will hold, both men are suspicious of the other and fear for their safety. As a professional soldier in the British army, Malcolm questions Seamus’ motives in wanting to see him again. Released only days earlier from prison for involvement with dissident Republicanism.
